Editorial Policy: How We Review Supplements
Ingredients first, product second. Almost no finished supplement has been tested in a published clinical trial — the evidence exists at the ingredient level. So that's where we look: controlled trials, systematic reviews, and Cochrane analyses for each ingredient's claimed benefit.
We grade the evidence honestly. In every review you'll see evidence labelled on a simple scale — strongest / moderate / mixed / limited — based on the quality and consistency of published research. When a popular ingredient has failed large trials, we say so directly, even in reviews of products that contain it.
Sources: evidence claims are checked against the published literature, primarily PubMed-indexed trials and systematic reviews, and cited inline. A claim we cannot source gets removed, not defended.
Affiliate relationships — disclosed, never decisive. Affiliate disclosure appears on every page containing an affiliate link, above the link. We do not accept payment from manufacturers for reviews, scores, or placement.
Medical boundaries: we are researchers, not clinicians. Every review that touches a health symptom includes when to see a doctor instead, and no content on this site claims a supplement can diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.
Corrections: if we got something wrong — a study misread, evidence superseded, an error of fact — contact us. We correct the page and note the update date.
